Lucas is a dynamic leader in the mental health and addiction recovery space, known for helping treatment centres strengthen quality of care, expand accessibility, and become easier to find through modern outreach and digital strategy. With over a decade of experience across inpatient treatment, sober living, nonprofit leadership, and international settings, he brings a rare blend of clinical insight, operational understanding, and systems-level thinking to his work.

Throughout his career, Lucas has worked with and supported multiple addiction and mental health treatment organizations, including Edgewood Health Network (EHN), Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC), and Cornerstone to Recovery. His experience spans admissions, clinical programming, staff development, aftercare planning, and organizational growth. He has played key roles in helping launch and stabilize residential treatment programs and sober living environments, ensuring they are both clinically sound and operationally sustainable. His background also includes designing campus-wide mental health and recovery supports at George Brown College, as well as contributing to global youth and women’s mental health initiatives through work connected to the United Nations.

What distinguishes Lucas’s work is that it is deeply rooted in lived experience. Having navigated his own recovery journey, he understands firsthand what effective treatment feels like from the inside – what builds trust, what creates safety, and what genuinely helps people change. This perspective shapes how he approaches leadership, program design, and client care, allowing him to balance evidence-based practice with compassion, realism, and respect for the individual.

At CFHH, Lucas combines clinical experience with entrepreneurial vision to develop programs that are inclusive, trauma-informed, and grounded in real-world recovery. His focus is on building environments where clients, families, and staff can thrive – while ensuring treatment centres grow without compromising the integrity of care.

Fun fact: Outside of work, Lucas is passionate about storytelling and strategy – whether through tabletop games or classic fantasy sagas. He believes great leadership follows the same principles: purpose, preparation, and a well-balanced team.
