Victoria Conforti
Counsellor
Victoria’s passion for the mental health and addiction field started with wanting to be a helping hand for others who needed support. As a result, Victoria has become committed to working in this field, using her education and a range of skills she has acquired along the way to help others in the journey to healing and recovery.
Victoria is a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor’s degree in Honours Psychology. Victoria also completed a post-graduate program at Humber College, where she graduated with Honours and earned an Toronto Graduate Certificate in the Addiction and Mental Health program.
Victoria uses an approach with clients that puts responding with empathy and compassion at the forefront of her work. She uses active listening skills to ensure those she works with feel heard and know they are being listened to, as she believes there is power in feeling understood. Victoria values using a client-centred approach and treating each person who walks through our doors as the unique individual they are. She also uses a strengths-based approach to counselling, as she finds value in empowering others in their own self-discovery process, allowing them to recognize the mastery they hold in their own journey.
