Mary Gilbert

Mary is an Addiction Counsellor with a business background. Mary has extensive experience in the field of Addiction due to her own personal journey, family and relationships.

Mary began her journey of recovery and education in the 12-step program in 2004.  Mary is a member of CACCF and is currently working towards obtaining her ICADC (International Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor) qualification. She is also continuing her education in the field of Addiction and Mental Health.

Mary graduated in 2000 with an Honours diploma as a Medical Aesthetician, her second passion. She owns and operates a small business where she enhances the beauty of skin and invites her clients to a place where passionate hearts and minds connect.

Mary conveys the message that “belief in yourself, a balanced emotional well-being and nourishing your spirit will enable you to feel secure in your inner and outer beauty”.

In 2007, Mary graduated with an Honours diploma in Addictions and Community Service work. It was then that she began her career as an Addiction Counsellor.

Today Mary believes that only through her intense life experiences in active addiction and working through all the consequences, her tenacity and her incredible supports in the 12-step program is she able to passionately and empathetically counsel clients so that they may find their true inner self and transform their lives.

Mary loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to the gym and sponsoring women.

Mary is aware today that her opportunities, accomplishments, and blessings came by humbling herself, never giving up, but most of all, faith and trust in a higher power.
